In the bottom right corner of the screen when you login to Smartspec there is a blue flag icon. Click on it to start a handy tutorial, guiding you through the creation of a new project.
Otherwise, there are three ways to create a new project within Smartspec:
1. Add Project from Scratch
Projects > New Project > Add Project from Scratch
Here you can set up a new project from scratch, add the relevant specifications, and make the relevant selections within specifications.
2. Add Project from Template
Projects > New Project > Add Project from Template
You can set up a new project based on an existing Project Template. When you do this your new project will be pre-populated with the latest versions of the specifications from your Project Template. You will then need to make the relevant selections within the specifications.
3. Duplicate Project
Project Dashboard > Project Actions > Duplicate Project
With one click you can copy/paste the content within your project into a new project.
It will transfer all content including clause option selections, notes, appendix documents, related parties, etc. Items that are not automatically duplicated:
- Project title
- Job number
- Project address
- Lot number
- DP number
- Project status
- Date of issue
