What is Project Scope?

The Project Scope is a high-level written overview of your project. It is designed to help the reader of the specification to understand the basics of the project and generally includes:

• Project Type and Use - e.g., Residential New Build, Residential Alteration, Commercial New Build, Commercial Alteration, etc.
• Construction - e.g., Concrete slab, timber framing to NZS 3604:2011, weatherboard cladding, aluminium joinery, longrun profiled metal roofing, etc.
• Key or Unique Features - List any non-standard details/materials or any special site-specific features.

It's also useful to include any other information that would make it faster and easier for the Building Consent Authority and/or Tenderer/Building Practitioner to understand the scope and nature of the project.
